Unexpected Turns Lead to New Perspectives

In 2018, life took an unexpected and wonderful turn when Adalyn, my now wife, walked into my life.

With her, the world became a playground of possibilities, and my ambitions seemed not just dreams, but achievable realities.

Together, we explored life with a newfound purpose and excitement.

The Liberating Shift to Remote Work 

A primary reason I changed my major during my senior year was that I did not want to pursue a career that physically required me to be somewhere.

(Keep in mind, this decision was pre-pandemic, and remote work was not as common)

In 2019 my goal was accomplished, and I became a remote employee for my company due to some unexpected organizational structure changes.

Remote work wasn’t just a job adjustment; it was a lifestyle revelation that offered me the freedom I had been craving.

This flexibility allowed me the space to explore passions that had been on the back burner.

I did a lot of inner work at this time and I realized that if money were not a factor, and I could do anything for work in the world, it would be coaching.

I wasn’t sure how exactly to start doing this, but I came across an opportunity to coach youth soccer.

It didn’t pay much, but I felt a pull to take some type of significant action, so I took the role and started doing this on the side.

This period of inner reflection helped me realize that coaching wasn’t just a hobby—it was my calling.

I found profound satisfaction in helping others achieve their best, which resonated deeply with my core values.

This realization spurred a significant transformation.

Coaching became more than a pastime; it was a way to make a meaningful impact on others' lives.

The connection and positive influence I experienced through coaching affirmed my desire to help others grow and succeed, marking a pivotal shift in how I viewed my professional aspirations.

Encouraged by the fulfillment I found in coaching soccer, 2019 became the year I bravely stepped into entrepreneurship with a wellness coaching business.

This venture was not just another job—it was a passion project born from my deepest values and desires.

Despite the challenges and steep learning curves, this business felt like my own, a true representation of my dedication to creating something meaningful.

Starting my business underscored a crucial life lesson: success isn’t about rigidly adhering to plans or outcomes but about navigating the unpredictable waves of life with passion, resilience, and openness.

This mindset shift—to follow my heart, free from the clutch of rigid expectations—has been liberating and transformative.
